Rusty Cage is the one & only national tribute to Soundgarden. Both Chris Cornell & our lead vocalist hail from Seattle & both received years of vocal coaching from the infamous Maestro himself! Rusty Cage rocks with painstaking attention to vocal detail. Our seasoned musicians have professional associations with Morgan Freeman, Weezer & Screaming Trees.
Pretty Penny is Portland's ultimate tribute to the Stone Temple Pilots. The Stone Temple Pilots produced many hit songs during this decade & was led by their talented & overly ostentatious frontman, Scott Weiland. Pretty Penny's lead vocalist sounds nearly identical to Scott Weiland's tone & timbre with authentic phrasing & vocal dynamics throughout the setlist. In fact, no other STP tribute in the country comes closer, musically, to the original STP sound than Pretty Penny!

XRAYFM and Mississippi Studios present Local Love Letters, a monthly series featuring local Portland area artist. This month we've got:
Slender Gems:
Formed in 2018 by longtime DIY musician Jordan LeVeque, whose punk rock bonafides include a stint as the final resident/booker of North Portland standby Fail House, Slender Gems are a murderer’s row of some of the city’s finest musical talents. Equally influenced by the big, opened-tuned chords of 90s slacker-rock and the elegant shredding of 70s AOR, they are at once grandiose and intimate, with LeVeque’s acerbic observations of our spiritually bankrupt world, a resounding clarion call over their guitar pyrotechnics.
NUG:
Nug is a musical group made up of four friends in Portland, OR. Blending and bending the genres of Post Punk, Indie Rock, Shoegaze, Nu-metal, Psych Rock, and probably some other things, Nug has been described we-think-affectionately as “Parquet Courts meets Grateful Dead” and “a jam band for people who hate jam bands” and “really friendly guys making loud music”. Nug’s debut record “Kerfuffle” released in February of 2025 and remains released to this very day. Thanks!
Killmer:
Killmer is a rock band formed by three best friends: Nico Carrera (Guitar/Vocals), Austin Gardner (Drums), and Brett Sparrey (Bass/Vocals). Before forming the band they attended many shows together, such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Wand, White Denim, and Ty Segall, as well as many inspiring performances at Pickathon. These sonic adventures forged Killmer’s sound into a bionic blend of psychedelic rock with soulful blues overtones, teeming with an undercurrent of garage rock and punk. Utilizing both improvisation and songwriting acumen to put on shows that are bombastic, yet intimate, they implement dual lead vocals to trade off within verses or blend lush harmonies, creating vastly unique soundscapes. With an EP (2024’s Lost and Profound) and debut full-length album (2025’s primo!) in their rear-view, Killmer has already started work on their second studio effort - due autumn 2026 - that proves they are on a journey worth following.

Through daring, self-performed stunts, Gray rescues his girlfriend, disrupts Union plans, and becomes a hero, utilizing stunning visual gags.

Made up by Elijah Gibbins-Croft, Oey James, and Ian Robles, Foxtide is a byproduct of being bred by the beach and raised by a DIY house show scene. The SoCal three-piece was formed around garage jam sessions and earned their cult following through the intense vitality of their live shows.
First starting to release music in 2019, it was the band's second EP Visons in 2021 that took them from a hometown secret to a band to watch nationally. Moving into the chapter of their next project, Foxtide is abandoning the idea that they need to create "perfect" music, and simply making what they like to listen to. Tinged with the aloofness of early 2000s rock, while experimenting with the formulas of modern pop, all threads are knotted in the authenticity behind Foxtide's unrelenting love for music.

Fresh off electric festival debuts at Lollapalooza and All Things Go in late 2025, Caroline amassed 300k monthly listeners and landed a huge feature in the best-selling game 'Dispatch.' Her fan favorite sleeper hit 'Kissing Someone Else' accumulated over 6 million streams after the song was featured in Episode 1 and the game sold over a million copies in its first week. 2025 also brought Caroline the viral collaboration with fellow indie pop artist Maris with 'Give Me A Sign.' The song landed Caroline a feature for the second year in a row on Spotify's 'Best Pop Songs of 2025' and a co-headline tour. Expect a larger-than-life energy to her iridescent make-up, Bowie-esque boot-and-blazer get-ups and ready-to-risk-it-all ballads that are abundant in brutally honest and vulnerable storytelling lyrics

St John's Bizarre is a uniquely curated celebration that will kick off the summer street fair season in Portland. The Bizarre brings music, crafts, and food to the crowds who traditionally attended the St. Johns Parade. There is a amazing lineup of musicians, artisans, makers, creators, food vendors, community groups, and more. The Bizarre is coordinated by a dedicated group of volunteers, all St. Johns residents who work throughout the year with local businesses and the community to make the event happen.
St John's Story - How great it would be if all those people who came down for the parade had a reason to stay and spend their time getting better acquainted with our historic business district and many shops and restaurants. The goal wasn’t to upstage the Parade, but rather to build on those two hours of fun to squeeze out a whole day’s worth! And almost 20 years later, the Bizarre is recognized citywide as one of the best street festivals in Portland!

Baby Bugs is an alternative music project founded by Bowie. Raised on bluegrass guitar and church hymns, Bowie spent years held under the weight of religious trauma and emotional abuse before discovering that writing their feelings in the form of a song or poem was the only way to express themselves clearly. In 2021 at the age of 18, Bowie released their first song "Hey Bunny". Surpassing 2 million streams in its first 60 days and receiving an outpour from fans encouraging Baby Bugs for more, Bowie decided to continue to write and record songs with the goal to help others who have experienced similar hardships feel less alone.

Though you may know the band—made up of Jack Miller (vocals, guitar), Conrad Boyd (guitar), Pearce Eisenhardt (guitar), Johny Hohman (bass), and Tommy StClair (drums)—from social media, the American Disco is certain to make their identity in a new way. While their personalities often connect first with viewers, the band’s most resonant connection certainly comes through in their music, and listeners can know them just as well this way.
Having released the titular single “American Disco” back in February after embarking on a headlining tour of the same name, NEF has had some time to feel early reception with their fans. And because the group is incredibly connected with their fan community, hitting the road and having fun with them is a top priority.

The One Motorcycle Show is back for its 17th annual gathering, taking over the historic Zidell Yards from May 1st to 3rd, 2026. While the show has seen massive growth over nearly two decades, this year carries a unique weight: with the Portland Diamond Project eyeing Zidell Yards for a potential Major League Baseball stadium, the 2026 show marks a "last chance" to experience the event’s industrial grit at this legendary location before it’s gone for good.
Founded by Thor Drake, The One Motorcycle Show is an inclusive celebration of motorcycle culture, attracting everyone from seasoned builders to curious non-motorcyclists. In 2025, the brand expanded its reach by debuting at the AIMExpo inAll Ages // 7 PM Door // Tickets $43

Grag Queen
Grag Queen is a singer, songwriter, presenter, and one of the most influential drag queens in the world. Winner of the american reality show "Queen of the Universe" and presenter of "Drag Race Brazil", she has established herself as a complete artist, combining charisma, vocal power, and representation in each new phase of her career.
Now, Grag begins her "Cosmic Era", a project that marks the release of her first album, "Cósmica", and a new artistic phase under contract with Warner Music Group, where she made history as the first drag queen signed by the label in Brazil. The announcement, made on social media, presented an intergalactic and poetic aesthetic that reflects the concept of the album: a dive into sounds that move between disco music, soul, and contemporary pop.
With more than 2.6 million followers on social media and 19 million views on YouTube, Grag Queen reaffirms her position as the true Queen of the Universe, expanding her art and taking Brazilian drag culture to an even more vibrant, sophisticated, and, as the name suggests, "cosmic dimension".
